It Takes Talent

God is so amazing! His design is incredible. I am just blown away with the unique talents that He has given His people and what we can do if we work together (which is His plan!). Just this week, Jacob J. emailed me to ask if we would be interested in him designing a shirt for MAP this summer. We gave him the ok. Not even a day after I emailed him back with the criteria he emailed me back with one of the most amazing shirt designs! I told him it was great! His reply was, “I love what I do.” Wow! I think that shows fulfillment in using talents God has given us, for Him :)

The list could go on and on…. I am sure that you could name some people as well.

I ordered some more cabinets for our MAP kitchen this past week (We are outgrowing our facility! Haha!). I saw the same joy in Barry S. (who is a cabinet maker) as he was giving me a tour of his shop buildings. He is so good at what he does. He has blessed MAP tremendously with his talents that the Lord has given him, as well as many others.

I am in awe of the way God uses you as you support MAP. MAP is continually growing and expanding because of your dedication to Him and the youth of America. Giving of your unique talents and giving of your finances, which is also a talent, is such a blessing. God is doing big things with and through MAP because of His team! Keep on keepin’ on!

Spiderman said “With great power comes great responsibility.” We have God’s power :) I also believe that with great talent comes great responsibility.

“If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are a part of the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:26&27

We need to each use our talents, or the body with suffer. Also, we shouldn’t be jealous or envious of anyone else’s talent, but we should rejoice when they are honored. Everyone has their part that only they can fill just perfectly :)

Summer is right around the corner! Please contact us if you are interested in coming. We would like for you to apply before May 1st is you are wanting to be on the MAP team for 2012! The schedule is provided in the left column. Call to find out the amount of money you need to raise, if you are only going to a few select weeks, etc. A month of MAP costs $500 or $125 / week (call if you don't fall into one of these categories): this covers food, travel expenses, etc. (you won't need any money except for snacks along the way and spending money). Call for further information!
